View Video Tribute Charles R. Bell, 47, of Keokuk, IA died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. He was born on October 31, 1960 in Keokuk, IA the son of Neal Wayne and Ora Adelle Waltman Bell. On September 24, 1994 Charles was united in marriage to Korenda Schrader at the Rand Park in Keokuk, IA. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, John Bell of Windom, MN, Ryan Bell of Keokuk and Nicholas Bell of Keokuk, one grandson Timothy Bell, three brothers, Butch Bell and his wife Lori of Keokuk, Bryan Bell and his wife Kerry of Hamilton, IL and Roy Bell and his wife Annie of Keokuk, His father and mother in laws, Bill and Betty Walker of Montrose and Margaret Schrader of Carman, IL, one uncle, Irvin Bell and one aunt Ida Hill, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one sister, Addie Bell, one brother, Richard Smith, father-in-law, Fred Schrader, Sr, a granddaughter, Morgan Bell, a special cousin, Craig Schrader, niece, nephew, aunts and uncles. Charles was a graduate of the Class of 1978 from the Keokuk High School. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Keokuk and the Teamsters Union Local # 238. Charles enjoyed going camping, hunting deer and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and cherished the time he spent with his family. Charles was employed by the City of Keokuk for 28 years and was a working foreman until his health failed. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk. A memorial was established for the boy's education funds.
