Carol Joy Weber, 67, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at her home. She was born on December 25, 1942 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth Irene Dray Eckland Reeves. On September 19, 1960, Carol was united in marriage to Jerry L. Weber in Keokuk. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Myron Weber and his wife Tina of Galesburg, IL and Jerry Weber and his friend Lori Fisher of Hamilton, IL, eight grandchildren, Shane Weber and his wife Kara, Rachel Dewitt, Tyler Weber and his friend Laura Biddenstadt, Cody Weber, Jay Weber, Dakota Weber and Cheyanne Weber all of Keokuk and Alicia DeWitt of Dayton, OH, eight great-grandchildren, one brother Galen Eckland and his wife Jan of Keokuk, and one sister, June Gail Miller and her husband Harry of Colchester, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles and one great-granddaughter. Carol was a devoted mother and wife and always put other people's needs and feelings before her own. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, going to the Casino and yard sales. Carol especially enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her good friend Loretta Kay. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Harry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
