View Video Tribute Carol Ann Matthew, 58, of West Point, Iowa died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the West Point Care Center in West Point, Iowa. She was born October 23, 1949 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of William G. and Sylvia Marshall Davis. On April 26, 1969 she was united in marriage to Kenney Matthew in Ottumwa, Iowa. They later divorced. Carol graduated from Ottumwa High School with the Class of 1968. She was a member of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple and First Christian Church in Ottumwa, Iowa. For many years she was a Sales Representative for Avon. Carol is survived by two sons, Kenney Matthew of Pekin, Illinois and Scott Matthew and his wife Anna of Clinton, Iowa, one daughter, Lori Spurgeon and her husband James of Ottumwa, Iowa, seven grandchildren, James, Stephanie and Brian Spurgeon, Amanda, Samantha, Dalton and McKanna Matthew, and Alisha Green and one great grandchild, Hanna Green, one brother, William Davis, Jr. and his wife Beth of Canton, Missouri, an aunt, Gwen Miller of Danville, Iowa, other aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Joan Tweedy. Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday May 7 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Geoff Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, Iowa.
