Carl F. Kutcher, Sr., 96, of Quincy, IL, formerly of Kahoka, MO, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Quincy, IL. He was born September 7, 1911, in Kahoka, MO, the son of Adam and Adeline Kirchner Kutcher. On September 28, 1930 he was united in marriage to Myrtle Lucille Hamner in Kahoka, MO. She preceded him in death on March 18, 2000. Carl retired from Home Gas Company where he was a truck driver for many years. After his retirement he enjoyed building and remodeling. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed his help and provided a quiet strength to anyone who knew him. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO. He is survived by a daughter in law, Karen Kutcher of Daytona Beach, Florida, seven grandchildren, Karla Bradshaw and her husband John of LaGrange, MO, Kraig Kutcher and his wife Sherry of Wentzville, MO, Kris Kutcher of Quincy, IL, Jeanine Roberts and her husband Gary of Crawfordsville, IA, Lee Anne Lear of Crawfordsville, IA, Cory Kutcher of Arlington, VA, and Lori Helkey and her husband Rob of Louisiana, MO, thirteen great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Carl Kutcher, Jr., two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Dick Clifford officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO.
