Bryan Oliver Boone, 44 of Keokuk died Monday, November 21 at his home in Keokuk. He was born July 3, 1972 in Ft. Madison the son of Emmett "Will" and Loraine Downs Boone. Bryan attended elementary school at Keokuk Christian Academy and graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1991. He was baptized at the Hamilton Christian Church in Hamilton, IL. He had worked in construction for many years. Bryan loved sports and while in high school he ran track and played football and basketball. He is survived by two sons, Bryan "BJ" Boone, Jr. of Keokuk and Zackery Boone of Murphysboro, IL, his parents, Emmett "Will" and Loraine Boone of Keokuk, his sister Linda Treadwell of Greensburg, IN, one granddaughter, Gracie Lynn Boone of Keokuk, three nieces, Kristina Morton of Scottsdale, AZ, Aly Wubben of Greenburg, IN and Ashley Rose Prewett of Warsaw, IL, one nephew, Jonathan Moyers of Hallsville, MO, four aunts, Suellen Robertson of LaGrange, IL, Wanda Roggenkamp of Edinboro, PA, Irene Burke of Ursa, IL and Gloria McGee of Keokuk, one uncle, Daniel Boone of Hamilton and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Mabel Downs and Kenneth and Mildred Boone, his birth mother, Renae Lyman and one aunt, Loma Swearingen. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor David Turner and Pastor Jerry Bown officiating. Burial was in the Wythe Congregational Church Cemetery south of Warsaw, IL. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Christian Academy Scholarship Fund.
