Bruce Mitchell Terry, 61, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. He was born March 2, 1954, in Keokuk the son of Floyd and Luella Mae Brisby Terry. On May 1, 1996 he was united in marriage to Patty McCredie in Kahoka, MO. She survives. Other survivors include one step-daughter, Aimee Rippenkroeger (Jason) of Keokuk, five grandchildren, Kyler, Austin, Henry, Hannah and Spencer Rippenkroeger, one brother, John Cameron of Keokuk and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bruce graduated from Central Lee High School in Donnellson, IA with the Class of 1972. He had been employed as an independent agent for several different insurance companies. Bruce loved to travel and made many friends along the way. He was a people person by nature and could strike up a conversation with anyone, even a stranger. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and they were an important part of his life. He also enjoyed the company of his fur baby, Tigger, his cat. Bruce was an avid Cubs fan, he even made a Cubs fan out of his wife, Patty. A Celebration of Life was held at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 18th at the First Christian Church in Keokuk with Reverend David Turner officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
