Brenda Byrn Smith, 56, of Memphis, MO died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO. She was born May 27, 1963 the daughter of Larry and Zola Walker Byrn in Keokuk, IA. She is survived by two daughters, Summer Petersen of Gladstone, IL and Britney Smith of Lancaster, MO, two grandchildren, Orrin Birky and Colt Helmick, two brothers, Rick Byrn and his wife Pamela of Kahoka and Richard Byrn of Lewistown, one nephew, Erick Byrn of Memphis along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Duane Byrn. Brenda graduated from Wyaconda High School with the Class of 1981. After she graduated high school, she began working at Shannons Pallet for over thirty years retiring in 2014. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. A gathering of remembrance was held from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, February 14 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka and the family met with friends during that time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
