Bobby G. Stewart, 84 of Alexandria, MO, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at his home. He was born on March 29, 1928 in Williamstown, MO the son of Veldie "Doc" and Dessie Shore Stewart. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He had been employed as a logger in Montana and Hawaii and also farmed in Montana. After returning to Missouri he worked at Hudson Gas Station in Alexandria for ten years and was the owner and operator of Waterhole #3 in Alexandria for fifteen years. He then retired. Bobby was a member of the V.F.W. Post #4342 in Kahoka, MO. He loved the outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing. Bobby is survived by two sons, Jason Lorentzen and Willie Lorentzen both of Keokuk, one step-son, David Lorentzen of Omaha, NE, one sister, Dorothy Cackley of Keokuk, one step-sister, Lucy Hollow of Clio, MI, one step-brother Francis Ellison of LaGrange, MO and two nephews, Damon and Dustin Cackley. He was preceded in death by his very special friend and companion, Shirley Lorentzen in 1996, his parents and a half-brother, Nolin Stewart. A graveside service with military rites was held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Keokuk National Cemetery. There was no visitation.
