Bobbie A. Morris, 68, of Keokuk, IA, formerly of Kahoka, MO, died Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born on June 8, 1936 in Clark County, MO, the son of Glee and Veva Cochenour Morris. On May 2, 1971, Bobbie was united in marriage to Juvernia Jones in Carthage, IL. She survives. Other survivors include his mother of Kahoka, MO one sister, Connie Wells and her husband Bill of Quincy, IL, one nephew, Dr. Jeffrey Wells and his wife Marcey of Palmyra, MO, one niece, Elaine Fitzgerald and her husband Mike of Bloomington, IL. two great nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father. Bobbie came to Keokuk from Kahoka, MO in 1971. As a young man, he farmed with his father in the Kahoka area and was also employed at Moores Business Forms in Kahoka. He then was employed at St. Louis Die Casting in Keokuk for 19 years. Most recently he had worked for Schulers Design Systems in Keokuk for over 17 years until his health failed. He was of the Baptist faith, and a board member of the Sandusky Cemetery Association. Bobbie had worked with his hands all his life. He was a precision machinist and was very talented at mechanical solutions. He enjoyed being outside maintaining his home and his yard. He was a very caring man and was devoted to his wife and family. He was a loving son and husband and treasured the times he spent with his family. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Rick Seaton officiating. Burial will be in the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to the Lee County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
