Beverly H. Wilkins, 77, of Keokuk, Iowa died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. He was born June 27, 1930 in Ecorse, Michigan, the son of Albert Ray and Minnie Rose Wilkins. On July 13, 1979 he was united in marriage to Emma Wilkins in Waukegan, Illinois. She preceded him in death. For 27 years Beverly worked as a machine operator for Fiebing Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin retiring in 1992. He proudly served in the Marines from 1947- 1950. He was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Keokuk, Iowa. Left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Melody Clifford and her husband Don of Ft. Madison, a son John Wilkins of Ft. Madison, two granddaughters, Stephanie Kisor and Krystal Phinney and four great grandchildren, Sean, Erin, Marissa and Maria, one brother, Leon Wilkins and his wife Mary of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers William and Robert Wilkins. According to his wishes his body has been cremated. A Memorial service was held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17 at the Community Room in the Mississippi Terrace with his brother, Pastor Leon Wilkins officiating. Memorials may be made in his honor to the Lou Gehrig Foundation of Wisconsin and mailed to the Vigen Memorial Home, 1328 Concert, Keokuk, Iowa 52632.
