IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly Raylene
Oberman
October 7, 1951 – May 24, 2025
Beverly Raylene Oberman, 73, of Kahoka, Missouri, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 24, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 7, 1951, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Roy Lee and Verna Jean Muhrer Fry. Beverly was a 1969 graduate of Clark County R-1 High School and was proud to call Kahoka her lifelong home.
On October 25, 1969, Beverly married the love of her life, Danny Ray Oberman, in a ceremony at her parents' home in Kahoka. They shared over 55 years of marriage, working side by side, raising a family, and building a life rooted in love and community.
Beverly is survived by her husband Danny Oberman of Kahoka, a daughter, Vergena Marie Oberman of Kahoka; her son, Darin Oberman (Chrissy) of Fort Madison; four grandchildren, Dakota Oberman (Katy), Cheyenne Stutes (Chase), Collin Campbell, and Reid Campbell; and two great-grandchildren, Elaina Oberman and Jake Roberts, with another great-grandchild, Carolynn Oberman, expected in August. She is also survived by her sister, Teresa Barrows of Rolla, Missouri, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mark Fry and a brother-in-law, Gregg Barrows.
For over 50 years, Beverly and Danny owned and operated Oberman Jewelry and Gifts in Kahoka. Through their business, Beverly became a familiar and welcoming face in the community. She had an eye for beauty and a heart for service, helping countless customers celebrate life's most meaningful moments through thoughtful gifts and fine jewelry.
She took great pride in decorating the store throughout the seasons, always adding her special touch to make it warm and welcoming for customers. She loved planting flowers, bringing beauty and color to both her home and the storefront. Beverly was also a collector, finding joy in her treasured collections of Precious Moments figurines and Fenton art glass bells—each one holding a special memory or meaning. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed watching Kansas City Chiefs football, often relaxing with the game on and cheering them along. Most of all, Beverly loved her family, they were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeast Missouri or to the Peaksville Christian Church.
