Bettye Sue Henson

Bettye "Susie" Dunn Henson, 88, of Keokuk, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Donnellson Health Center, Donnellson, IA. She was born on December 23, 1929 in Cedar Hill, TN the daughter of J.V. Dunn, Jr and Grace Head Dunn. On June 23, 1967 Susie was united in marriage to Windell Henson in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2011. Susie graduated from Coopertown High School in Coopertown TN with the class of 1947. Susie loved to watch the Weather Channel and Wheel of Fortune on TV. She really enjoyed word search puzzles and usually had completed four before breakfast. In her earlier years she did a lot of crocheting. Susie is survived by a daughter in law, Sheila Henson of Keokuk, four grandchildren, Dustin Leffler, Jennifer (Jon) Ketterer, Toni (Brady) Salsberry and Andrea Henson, and eight great-grandchildren, Zaydan, Brycen, Jaelynn, Jordyn, Jayson, Justyn, Carsyn and Spencer. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her son, Tim Henson. Private family services will be held at a later date.
