Betty J. (Brown) Taylor, 77, of Monterey Park, California passed away quietly after a long illness Saturday morning, November 25, 2006 at Rancho Mesa Care Center in Alta Loma California. Betty was born February 22, 1929 in Argyle IA, the daughter of Oscar and Lillian Brown. Upon her marriage to Frank Taylor Jr., they moved to California. Betty raised her only daughter solely on her own. She was a strong, dependable, and loving woman. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank, brothers Ray and Kenneth Brown. Betty is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Wallace and her husband David, grandsons Taylor and Ryan Wallace, sister, Helen Roberts and brother Glen Brown and his wife Ann all of Kahoka, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 12:00 - 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Keokuk National Cemetery with Dr. Rick Seaton officiating where she will be laid to rest with Frank.
