Betty Joan McPherson of Katy, Texas passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at her daughter’s home.
Joan was born May 31, 1928 in Colchester, Illinois. She was the daughter of Clyde and Vera Nelson. She married Edward McPherson on March 22, 1947.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna McPherson, one brother, Edward Nelson, one sister, Sandy Clinton, grandson, B.J. McPherson, great-grandsons, Jeremy (Alicia) McPherson, Jared McPherson, granddaughter, Kinslie McPherson and many nephews and nieces.
There were no formal services. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., October 14, 2026 in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa with Edward Nelson officiating.
Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA is assisting the family with arrangements.
