Betty Jo Hetrick Kratzer, 72 of Donnellson, IA passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Ft. Madison, IA.
She was born December 4, 1951 in Council Bluffs, IA, the daughter of Harold and Louise Coleman Ellison.
Betty was united in marriage to Lonny D. Hetrick who preceded her in death on October 23, 1995. She then married Charles "Chuck" Wayne Kratzer on October, 13, 2006. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2020.
Betty was employed at the Lee County Health Department home health department as a CNA until her retirement in 2015.
She enjoyed collecting Betty Boop memorabilia, playing Spades with her late friend Jackie, listening to music and dancing. If you happened to wake up in the middle of the night while her husband Lonny was on the road, you wouldn't be surprised to find her moving furniture around with her signature hip moves. She continued enjoying life with motorcycle outings with Chuck. Most of all, Betty loved spending time with her loved ones. Her family meant everything to her and she would do anything for them.
She is survived by her children, Wendy Feilen (Kerry) of Alexandria, VA, Stacey Pennock (Chris) of Ft. Madison, Jerry Feilen (Dawn) of Keokuk, Corey Feilen (Jessica) of Kahoka, MO and Loni Hetrick-Strange (Wally) of Donnellson, thirty-two grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and one on the way as well. She is also survived by one sister, Peggy Shivley.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and six sisters.
