Betty Fellows, 90, of Keokuk died Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Montrose Health Center in Montrose, IA.
She was born June 30, 1924 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Robert and Minnie Howell Loewenstein. She was first married to William Dietrich and they later divorced. She then married James Fellows and he preceded her in death in 1968.
Betty was employed at H.L. Green drugstore in Keokuk for many years and then Osco Drug in Keokuk.
She liked to collect dolls and enjoyed making crafts of Christmas ornaments, decoupage dolls and Christmas stockings for her family and friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter; Sonja Stottlemyer and her husband Bill of Keokuk, three step daughters; Deliah Wagner and her husband Larry of New London, IA, Janice Eckland and her husband Galen of Keokuk, and Linda Fellows of Iowa, a step son; Larry Fellows and his wife Betty of Florida, four grandchildren; Carrie Egley and husband John, Eric Dietrich and wife Dawn, Denise Steenberg and her companion Marty Helenthal, and Alexis Bellino and husband Jim, 10 great grandchildren, many step grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Dietrich, step son Bobby Fellows, step grandchild, Jody Fellows, one brother Hubert Loewenstein and a sister Ruth Peterson.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery.
