Betty Jane Adams, 68, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on April 8, 1943 in Charleston, MO, the daughter of Norvill and Lena Travis Evans. On December 24, 1995, Betty was united in marriage to Charles "Charlie" Adams in Grandin, MO. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Cindy Picton and her husband, Robert and Sandy Pezley and her husband Richard all of Keokuk, five grandchildren, Michael Picton and his wife Brittany of Hamilton, IL, Michelle Picton, Amanda Pezley and Nicole Picton all of Keokuk and Ashlee Pezley of Montrose, IA, four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mildred Campbell and Geneva Rohr both of Doniphan, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Harold, Glen, James and Jay Evans. Betty enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish, boat, hunt, trapshoot and watch the water fowl. She was a very talented woodworker and painter. Betty painted beautiful pictures on many different mediums including driftwood. Betty's life was devoted to her family and she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the twinkle in her eye and she loved spending time with them. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Keokuk National Cemetery with John White officiating.
