View Timeless Tributes Video Berniece Cleo Davis, 88, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. She was born on October 19, 1920, the daughter of Otto and Bertha Wagner Rettig. On December 28, 1941, Cleo was united in marriage to Lowell Wesley Davis in Sikeston, MO. He survives. Other survivors include four sons, Wesley Davis and his wife Merrilyn of Keokuk, IA, Lowell Davis Jr. and his wife Mary of Keokuk, IA, Steven Davis and his wife Kitty of Kahoka, MO, Craig Davis of Coralville, IA, three daughters, Bernice Shuster and her husband David of Rock Springs, WY, Janet Servinski and her husband Bill of Wayland, MO, Susan Maddox and her husband John of Keokuk, IA, a daughter in law, Rose Davis of Sandusky, IA, thirty one grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, two sisters, Willine Miller and her husband Ferrell of Sikeston, MO, Sadie James and her husband Mitchell of White Hall, IL, and brother, Harold Rettig and wife Mary Beth of Sikeston, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David Davis, granddaughter, Leanna Davis, grandson, Mathew Schmitt, two brothers, Sherman Rettig and Laverne Rettig, and two sisters, Dorothy Broderick and Lola Adcock. Cleo enjoyed taking care of her flowers, loved to travel, playing Skipbo, dominos and various card games. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 24 at he Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Wesley Davis officiating. Entombment was in the Burlington Memorial Park in Burlington, IA.
