View Video Tribute Becky L. Shaul, 58, of Keokuk, IA, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on February 6, 1953 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Cornelius "Cornie" and Betty Garrett Burgess. On July 20, 1974, Becky was united in marriage to Dennis Shaul at the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk, IA. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Damon Shaul and his companion Jenae Bemis of Warsaw, IL and Derek Shaul and his wife, Melissa of Keokuk, IA, five grandchildren, Colby Deck, who was raised by Becky, Shelby Ann "Sassy" Shaul, Bryar "Chubs" Shaul, Dalton Bemis and Darrien Leeper, three step-grandchildren, Alisha St. Clair, Alexis Humes and T. J. Humes, one sister, Kay Adams of Keokuk, IA, and a very, very special friend, Ann White of Melvin, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents and aunts and uncles. Becky spent most of her life in Alexandria, MO and attended school in Alexandria and CCR1 in Kahoka, MO. She had been employed at Ayerco and Fisca in Alexandria, MO and retired in 1995 due to health problems. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, MO and also attended the First Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. Becky enjoyed playing pool and was on several area pool leagues. She enjoyed planting flowers and would always have a beautiful bouquet inside her home for everyone to enjoy. She was a garage sale queen and was always finding bargains to share with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she cherished the time she spent with them. Funeral serviceswere held at 1 p.m. Wednesday,January 18at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burialwas in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to Lee County Hospice.
