Barry Dale Murphy

Barry Dale Murphy, 55, of Kahoka, MO, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at his home in Kahoka. He was born on June 1, 1963 in Sylacauga, Alabama, the son of John and Elmer Yvonne Murphy. On March 2, 1991, Barry was united in marriage to Judy Davis in Kahoka. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Jenkins and Stephanie Bayne, both of Alabama, one son, Brandon Murphy and his wife Kelsey of Kahoka, two step-daughters, Amy Norton of Wentzville, MO and Amanda Nguyen and her husband Bao of North Liberty, IA, one step-son, Randy Norton and his wife Terra of Billings, MT, nine grandchildren, Sean Jenkins, Rose Patterson, Lily Patterson, Jasmine Patterson, Grayson Murphy, Brooklyn Norton, Chase Norton, Gabe Norton and Christine Norton, two sisters, Sabrina Murphy of Tennessee, Regina New of Alabama, two brothers, Larry Murphy and Marc Murphy both of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his mother in law and father in law. Over the years, Barry worked construction for Hickey's and John Ayer. Barry enjoyed fishing, was an Alabama football fan and enjoyed being outside. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Chris Lind officiating. Burial will be in the Frazee Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with the family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be made to the family.
