View Video Tribute Barbara LeMatty, 80, of Keokuk, IA, died Monday, July 11 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born September 8, 1930 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of Kenneth and Marie Scott Hayden. On June 21, 1953 she was united in marriage to Clarence William "Bill" LeMatty in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1995. Barbara graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1948. She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. She was also a former member of the Eagles Club in Keokuk. She loved camping, bowling, going on car rides and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed going to the games. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived her son, Todd LeMatty and his wife Lisa of Hamilton, IL, her granddaughter, Lindsay LeMatty of San Diego, CA, her grandson, Jake LeMatty of San Diego, CA, a step-granddaughter, Kristi Wells and her husband Danny of Hamilton, IL, step grandson, Tyler Hills of Hamilton, IL, a step great granddaughter, Karli Wells of Hamilton, IL and her brother, Harold Hayden and his wife Virginia of Keokuk, IA and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Kenneth Hayden, Jr. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her family.
