Obituary

Barbara Delvina Clinton, 79 of Warsaw, IL, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Keokuk, IA. She was born September 29, 1931 in Carman, IL, the daughter of James O. Milligan and Ferol M. Kerr Milligan. On December 19, 1948 she was united in marriage to her childhood sweetheart, James E. Clinton at the First Christian Church of Keokuk, IA. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Cathy Baker and her husband Brian of Warsaw, IL and Linda Wray and her husband Tom of Keokuk, IA, one son, Dan Clinton and his wife Sandy of Hamilton, IL, two grandsons, Clint Wray and his wife Nicole of Keokuk, IA and Ken D. Jones of Warsaw, IL, two granddaughters, Brandy Johnson and her husband Mike of Statesville, NC and Lindi Jones and her companion Derek Staller of Peoria, IL, three great-grandsons, London Wray of Keokuk, IA, Lincoln Wray of Keokuk, IA and Christopher Johnson of Statesville, NC, and one great granddaughter, Samantha Johnson of Statesville, NC, along with many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Todd Wray, three brothers, and six sisters. She worked at the Chuck Wagon in Keokuk, IA for Chuck Eppers for seventeen years and then was the owner and operator of Production Engineering for twenty years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of First Christian Church of Keokuk, IA, a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the South Side Boat Club. Barbara enjoyed boating, working jigsaw puzzles and refinishing wood and furniture. She watched Nascar and was a Jimmie Johnson fan. Barbara was an excellent cook especially her pies that were enjoyed by all. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She loved to ride with Jim on the motorcycle. It made her feel very close to him as they saw God's country while they rode. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday at the First Christian Church in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA. Visitation will be held after 12 p.m. noon Sunday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends from 2-4 p.m. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Keokuk, IA.
