Barbara J. Bergheger, 58, of Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born on July 20, 1953 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of James and Doris Wilson Harrison. On September 28, 1979 Barbara was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Bergheger in Keokuk. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Kenny Bergheger and his wife Spring of Hahnville, LA, one daughter, Samantha Glasscock and her husband, Tim of Keokuk, IA, her mother, Doris Harrison of Keokuk, six grandchildren, Michael and Zachary Glasscock, Dustin and Cassidy Redmond, Erin Bergheger and Kenneth Bergheger III, one great-grandchild, Delilah Redmond, three brothers, Gary Harrison and his wife Sandy of Missouri, Allen Harrison of Montrose, IA and Toby Harrison of Quincy, IL, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Barbara had been employed at Keokuk Area Hospital for ten years. She enjoyed creating scrapbooks that will be cherished memories for her family. Barbara's life revolved around her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. The time she spent with her grandchildren was priceless and the memories that were made will live on in their hearts forever. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Pastor Dale Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Charleston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross Bloodmobile.
