Augustus Jackson Roberts

Augustus Jackson Roberts, 28, of Columbia, MO died on the morning of December 11, 2017 at his home in Columbia, MO, the result of a violent home invasion. He was born November 2, 1989 the son of Rick and Diana Hart Roberts in Quincy, IL. Gus graduated from Clark County R-1 High School with the Class of 2008. He then attended Truman State University in Kirksville, MO where he graduated in 2013 with degrees in criminal justice and English. He later moved to Columbia to pursue his dream of real estate development. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Diana Roberts of rural Luray, MO, one brother, Benjamin Roberts, of St. Charles, County, MO, his special friend Tay Stephens of Columbia, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Gus was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Ramona Roberts, his maternal grandparents, Fred and Rita Hart, one aunt, Carol Sue Kraus and one uncle, Klaus Walter. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO. Burial will be in the Kahoka Cemetery. Visitation was held on December 15, 2016, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with family meeting with friends from 5 -7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Veterans of the Cross of the United Church of Christ.
