Arthur Lee "Bud" Russell, 58 of Keokuk died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk. He was born October 1, 1957 in Keokuk the son of Mary Alice Russell Grove. He was raised by his grandparents, Harry & Thelma Russell. Bud graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1976. He had employed by Keokuk Steel Castings as an electrician until his retirement in 2007 and was a member of the United States Steelworkers Union Local #3311. Bud enjoyed going to the Mississippi River and watching barges and all of the river activities. He loved taking care of wildlife and fed the birds, wild cats and any other wildlife. Bud was a jack of all trades and enjoyed carpentry work and fixing things. Bud liked riding motorcycles but most of all loved spending with his family and friends. He is survived by one son, Michael Russell (Candace) of Hamilton, IL, one daughter, Tiffany Finch (Doug Evans) of Keokuk, six grandchildren, Emma, Gretchen, and Hudson Russell and Bailee, Jacelynn and Madden Finch, his mother, Mary Grove of Basco, IL, one brother, Bill Russell of Keokuk, two sisters, Dawn Grove (Carla) of Warsaw, IL and Carole Grove of Basco, IL and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by one son, Jason Russell, his grandparents, Harry & Thelma Russell, one brother, Charles Russell and one sister, Joyce Jones. A Gathering of Remembrance was held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
