Arlene J. Lally, 87 of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA. She was born January 10, 1923 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of C.E. and Opal H. Lane Mackie. On March 1, 1941 she was united in marriage to Bernard Lally in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1984. Arlene had been employed at Sheller Globe in Keokuk for twenty years before her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the King's Daughter's Circle, South Side Boat Club, New Testament Christian Church and was a volunteer for the Keokuk Area Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her son David Lally and his significant other Sharon Brown of Keokuk, IA , ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Danny, Dennis and Douglas, one brother, Harold Mackie and three sisters, Dorothy Mackie, Ruth Whitaker and Vera Strohmaier. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Memorials may be made to the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA.
