April D. Winkler, 31, of Warsaw, IL, died January 12, 2010 at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born February 23, 1978 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Frank and Candy Valentine Winkler. April went to the Ferris Grade School and graduated from Carthage High School with the Class of 1999. She attended Carl Sandburg College and the Carthage Mental Health Department part time. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw, IL. April enjoyed golfing with her dad, listening to books on tape, swimming, and dancing. She also liked to sing, play basketball and watch movies and her daily soap opera, Days of Our Lives. April especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her mother Candy Winkler of Warsaw, IL, her father, Frank Winkler and his wife Carol of Keokuk, IA, one sister, Amy Biggerstaff and her husband Curtis of Canton, MO, one step sister, April Stevens and her husband Chuck of Keokuk, IA, one step brother Carson Noble and his wife Corrie of Quincy, IL, one grandfather, Gene Valentine of Warsaw, IL, two grandmothers, Pansy Winkler of Mendon, IL, Elizabeth Keller of Keokuk, IA, four nephews, Avery Biggerstaff, Payton and Bryer Stevens, and Jaxon Noble, many aunts and uncles, including Randy and Marilyn Valentine of Warsaw, IL and cousins. She was preceded in death by one grandmother, Delores Valentine, one grandfather, Clarence Winkler, and one niece, Alyssa Benedict. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 16 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Warsaw, IL with Pastor Julie Azbell officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.
