Anthony Alan "Tony" Milligan, 38 of Keokuk died Monday, January 25, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born November 13, 1977 in Keokuk the son of Roger Paul and Carmen Moore Milligan.
Tony graduated from Keokuk High school with the Class of 1997 and then received his Associates of Art Degree from Southeastern Community College in Keokuk.
Tony had been employed through the years at several area businesses including PAW Animal Shelter in Ft. Madison, IA for fourteen years, HyVee for several years and was currently employed at Thomas L. Cardellas in Keokuk.
Tony loved fur babies and had many pets over the years. He enjoyed fishing, making friends and putting smiles on people's faces. He had a quirky sense of humor and was nicknamed "Squirrel" by his friends.
Tony is survived by two sisters, Dawn Beckinger (Bryan) of Argyle, IA and Tammy Schroeder (Edward) of Ft. Madison, IA, three brothers, Tim Milligan (Martha) of Montrose, IA, Monte Beckinger (Nanette) of Indiana and Charles S. Milligan (Teresa) of Ft. Madison, IA, nieces and nephews Brittany Beckinger (Eric)and their daughter, Allison, Trenton and Jennifer Beckinger, Debra, T.J. and Steven Milligan, Jessica and Joshua Milligan, Anna and Edward Schroeder and several great-nieces and nephews, one uncle, Charles J. Milligan of Keokuk, two aunts, Carolyn "Susie" Jenkins (Rodney) of Hamilton ,IL and Darla Zumdome (Jody) of Montrose, IA, many cousins and his girlfriend Julie Drenner and her children Isabella and Sarena of Keokuk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one sister in infancy, Christy Lynn Milligan and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. A private family burial will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
