Anne Helmick 80, of Keokuk died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Lexington Square in Keokuk. She was born March 18, 1937 in Crocker, MO the daughter of Alfred and Vercie Deberry Thornsberry. Anne had been employed by BTR in Keokuk for thirty years and was a member of the union. She also had been a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk and also a member of the Keokuk Saddle Club. Anne enjoyed her cat, Boots and loved horses. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy McCartney of Keokuk, one son, Ronald D. Kutzner (Barb) of Keokuk one granddaughter, Amy Harlow of Des Moines, IA one brother, Wayne Thornsberry (Judy) of Cantril, IA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Dan McCartney. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril, IA with Pastor Gordon Hawkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril, IA.
