Anna Mae Schreck, 92, of Kahoka, MO, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO. She was born on November 21, 1918 in Clark County, MO, the daughter of Larry and Laura Agnes Hines Hayden. On January 1, 1938, Anna was united in marriage to Albert Schreck in Kahoka and they spent 53 years together. Following their marriage they spent ten years in Gulf Coast, TX, then moved back to Kahoka where she spent the rest of her years on the farm. Albert preceded her in death on September 21, 1990. Anna graduated from Wayland High School in Wayland, MO with the Class of 1935. She had been employed at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka for many years. She was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Wayland, MO where she was active in the church's Altar Society. Anna's life revolved around her family and her life's mission was to provide a wonderful home for her family. She had a love for writing poetry and enjoyed writing letters and cards. She loved to work in her yard and had a large vegetable garden. Anna was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding her family. She is survived by three sons, Larry Schreck and his wife Doris of Maryville, MO, Bernard Schreck and his wife Mary Kim of Osage Beach, MO and Vincent Schreck of Kahoka, MO, eleven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one sister, Bessie Schreck of Kahoka, MO, one sister-in-law, Madonaa Perry Hayden of Kahoka, MO, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Edward Schreck, one grandson, John Schreck, four brothers, Franklin, Bernard, Wesley & Robert and three sisters, Thelma Young, Maggie Clark and Ada Campbell, Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday November 9, 2011 at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Wayland, MO with Father Paul Hartley officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Martha Altar Society.
