Anna Marie Davis Dodson

View Video Tribute Anna Marie Davis Dodson, 80, died Saturday May 8, 2010 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born May 16, 1929 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Edna Hubbard Jones. On September 26, 1947 she was united in marriage to Vernon Davis in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1989. On April 5, 1997 she married Marion Lowell Dodson in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2004. She was a member of the Keokuk Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Anna enjoyed traveling, reading, art work, and attending church softball games. Anna was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Faylene Smith and her husband Paul of Burlington, IA, her son, Steven Davis and his wife Megan Smick of Rockford, IL, six grandchildren, Tim Smith, Dustin Smith, Tiffany Smith, Christopher Davis, Kara Davis, and Devin Davis Smick, and six great grandchildren, Carter, Tanner, Taylor, Rylie, Lille and Kinnick. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12 at the Keokuk Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Dana Jurgens officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Church of the Nazarene.
