Anna M. Guild-Smith, 93, of Keokuk died Friday, July 10, 2015 at the River Hills Village in Keokuk.
She was born May 3, 1922 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Johannes and Josievine Andersen. On September 15, 1940 she was united in marriage to Robert Guild in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1997.
Anna graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1940. She was employed with Midwest Carbide as a secretary for several years.
She was a lifelong faithful member of the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk.
Anna enjoyed drinking her daily cups of coffee especially over friendly conversations. In her younger years she enjoyed playing golf.
She is survived by two daughters, Joana Breakbill of Keokuk, and Barbara Devine of Coalinga, CA, five grandchildren, Jennifer Devine, Erin (Adam) Adkisson, Mark (Shelly) Breakbill, Tim (Julie) Breakbill and Kirk (Deborah) Breakbill, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons in law, Robert Breakbill and Frank Devine, and two sisters, Helen Kutcher and Ethel Prull.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Keokuk National Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
