Angela "Angel" Michelle Grogan, 51, of Carthage, IL formerly of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, January 16, 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
She was born February 21, 1970 in Keokuk, IA the daughter of James Michael "Mike" and Judith Mann Grogan. Angela graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Keokuk with the Class of 1989.
She married Troy Gundy on December 17, 1993 and they later divorced.
She had been employed at Beck Oil in Keokuk.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk.
Angela had a strong competitive spirit and loved playing basketball. She enjoyed social media and watching her favorite television show, Grey's Anatomy. Angela was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Her grandchildren were the sunshine of her life and she loved spending time with them.
She is survived by one son, Zachary Grogan- Gundy (Jordyn Mullens) of Keokuk, one daughter, Kortney Grogan-Gundy (James Haley) of Keokuk, four grandchildren, Isabella Bollin, Laikynn Haley, Paisley Mullens and Hensley Gundy. She is also survived by her mother, Judith Grogan of Carthage, IL, three sisters, Tiffany Dietrich (Dwayne) of Keokuk, Joni Greenslaugh (Shaun Moeller) of Keokuk and Traci Billings (Bruce) of Keokuk, several aunts, uncles and cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, Mike Grogan, one brother, Todd Hawley and several aunts and uncles including her aunt, Mary Fink.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on January 21, 2022 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Father Marty Goetz officiating. The service can be viewed on Angela's obituary page (tribute wall) at www.vigenmemorialhome.com. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
Visitation was held after 1 p.m. on January 20, 2022 at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends from 6-8 p.m.
