View Video Tribute Alberta C. Bramhall, 80, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She was born September 22, 1926 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Chris and Emma Strohmaier Thompson. On August 9, 1952, Alberta was united in marriage to Ronald O. Bramhall. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2003. Alberta graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1944. She worked for Stone Container as a secretary for 26 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk, IA. "Bert" enjoyed spending time with her friends, knocking it around the golf course, bowling, and baking/sharing her Christmas cookies. She was a great friend to many and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Bramhall and his wife Donna of Mesa, AZ, and Dane Bramhall and his wife Helene of France, two daughters, Danelle "Danny" Rose and her husband Jim of Keokuk, IA and Diane Kraus of Keokuk, IA, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild, a sister MarScine Cronin and her husband Jack of Keokuk, IA, and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, David. Memorial services were held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, at the Vigen Memorial Home with Reverend Terry Mahnke officiating. Burial was in the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
