Adeline E. Walrath, 82, of Keokuk, IA, died Monday, November 19, 2007 at River Hills Village in Keokuk, IA. She was born on March 29, 1925 in Fremont, NE, the daughter of John and Goldie Larsen Brewer. She married Wayne Walrath on June 3, 1944 in Houston, TX. She graduated from Fremont High School with the Class of 1942. Adeline was the owner and operator of Jack and Jill Preschool in Keokuk for twenty five years. She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA, the Newcomers and the Hospital Auxiliary. Adeline enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and reading. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Olson of Keokuk, IA and Candy Walrath of Peoria, IL, one son, Michael Walrath of Keller, TX, three grandchildren, Nick Olson, Alicia Walrath and Cortney Walrath, two sisters, Shirley Calta and her husband Bill of Fremont, NE and Marian Larsen and her husband Norm of Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by an infant son. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the Keokuk Public Library Children's Section.
