Adalynn Grace Pitman, the daughter of Adam and Ashley Shuman Pitman of Wayland, MO, died at birth on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA. She is survived by her parents, her maternal grandparents, Tracey and Mark Shuman of Wayland, MO, her paternal grandmother Rosa Pitman of Keokuk, IA, paternal great- grandmother, Betty L. Day of Basco, IL, maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Ruth Shuman of Keokuk, IA, two uncles, Ryan Shuman and Mark Shuman and his wife Tabetha all of Wayland, MO, one aunt, Stacey Pitman of Keokuk, IA and several great aunts, great uncles and cousins. Adalynn was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, John R. Pitman, and her maternal great-grandparents, Mary Shuman and Rachel and John Happs, Sr. Graveside services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Babyland in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk with Pastor Ray Gilbert officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
