Shirley Jean Stevens

Shirley Jean Stevens, 66 of Keokuk passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Ft. Madison.

She was born February 15, 1959 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Verlin Lee and Letha Bell Reed Stevens.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Anna Stevens of Keokuk; her granddaughter, April Stevens-Mason; and her siblings, Jim Stevens (Janet) of Keokuk, Nancy Bell of Keokuk, Gary Townsend (Lori), and Art Stevens and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Verlin Stevens, Jr.

Shirley worked as a CNA in Hamilton for several years and also helped set up rides at local events, including the Watermelon Festival and the Sweet Corn Festival. She enjoyed fishing and sewing.

A dinner was held from 1-4 p .m., Friday, October 31, 2025 at Family Worship Center, 2439 Belknap Blvd, Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends at that time.
