Louise F. Johns, 85, of Keokuk, IA died Monday June 12, 2006 at her daughter's home in Rialto, CA. She was born on June 24, 1920 in Canton, MO the daughter of Oren and Roxie Allensworth Hart. She was united in marriage to Howard McCallister on July 10, 1936 and to this union of 30 years there were four children. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1966. She then married Paul A. Johns, Sr. in 1966. He preceded her in death in 1986. Louise attended the Fulton School of Deaf in Fulton, MO. She loved teaching her grandchildren sign language. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and she enjoyed watching the squirrels and the scenery of the Mississippi River. Louise loved to garden and tend to her peonies. Louise is survived by two daughters, Marline Gabbert of Keokuk and Barbara Coovert and her husband Clyde of Rialto, CA, one son, Larry Craig of Forest City, MO, eight grandchildren, Dirk Fellows and his wife Jody, Craig Fellows and his wife Kim of Keokuk, Dawn Brandow and her husband Lou of Gainesville, FL, Steve Mills and his wife Julie of Los Angles, CA, Leslie Traotner of Rialto, CA, Stephanie Rodriguez and her husband Jerry of Fontana, CA, Matt Coovert and his wife Roxanne of Fontana, CA, Debbie Giba of Colorado, 21 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Jet and her husband Bob High of Keokuk and Helen Collins. She was preceded in death by one son, Jack Bigley, one grandson, Roger Mills, a great grandson, Corey Coovert, four sisters and three brothers. Graveside services were held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 17, at the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk with Bro. Bill Hauser officiating.
