Lorraine James, 87, of Boulder City, NV, formerly of Keokuk, IA and Kahoka, MO, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in the Harbor House in Las Vegas, NV. She was born May 13, 1924 in Luray, MO the daughter of George and Cecille Phillips Herring. On August 16, 1941 she was united in marriage to George M. James in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1957. Lorraine was of the Methodist faith and a thirty eight year member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Keokuk. Survivors include a son, Larry James and his wife Sherrie of Spokane, WA, two daughters, Sharon McLean of Boulder City, NV and Carol Busard and her husband Jim of Carthage, IL, one brother, Jack Herring and his wife Edith of Mishawaka, IN, one sister, Dorothy Boothe and her husband Darrell of Clive, IA, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Shirley Logan and one son-in-law, Arn McLean. Lorraine's wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services were held at 10 A.M. Thursday, Novmmber 10, 2011 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Rev. John Raab officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO. The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO is in charge of arrangements.
